Last updated 10 months ago

There is not always a need to spend thousands of dollars on a full renovation when your bathroom has “good bones” but just needs a little facelift. Consider some of the following tips for a fresh new look:

1.   Freshen up your linens and towels, introduce a new colour scheme

2.   Apply a fresh coat of paint

3.   Add some glass tile detailing to the walls or as a backsplash

4.   Pick up a storage ladder to hang towels and hold magazines

5.   Mix up your accessories and add some colour with new toothbrush and soap holders

6.   Fill a glass bowl or vase with sand and shells and place it on the tub surround

7.   Replace the mirror with a frameless model

8.   Update the light fixture(s) or/and taps

9.   Roll up extra towels and display them in a basket

10. Replace old knobs and handles with more stylish fresh hardware

11. Update the tub surround or walls by adding Beadboard

12. Replace window coverings with light and airy fabrics

13. Use wicker baskets to organize toiletries

14. Add some artwork or family photos in coordinating frames

15. Coordinate sink, toilet and tub so they are all the same colour

16. Convert an existing furniture piece into a vanity

17. Add fresh flowers and candles

18. Keep the vanity drawers organized with valet trays and organizers

19. Spoil yourself with fancy soaps and display them in glass bowls

20. Add a chandelier over the tub
